- さっぽろのうがっこう【札幌農学校】北海道大学の前身。 1872年（明治5）， ケプロンの建策により東京芝に開拓使仮学校として開校。 75年札幌に移転。 翌年札幌農学校となる。 初代教頭クラークのキリスト教精神の感化を受け， 内村鑑三・新渡戸稲造・宮部金吾ら多くの人材を出した。
